Holiday season comes around every year, and i think about all of the stuff that i want to buy as gifts. HGTV Secret Santa is pretty intense, so I need to think of something AMAZING for my secret santa. Last year, Brian was mine and I got him an inflatable steer head for his office. He, in turn got me a s'mores maker. So now, we sit in his office, screening new episodes of House Hunters, eating smores and staring at a faux steer head. just picture that...Anyways, Fred Flare is a great place to shop for fun quirky gifts. First off, I am obsessed with these. My apartment is all white with colored accessories. My bedding is super colorful {see here} , which makes me want to keep the rest of the area stark and white. I think humor in a home decor is important, which is what leads me to these hanging lights. They are porcelain flashlights. I think hanging them low over my bedside table could be uber chic and uber fun...


Next up...Betty Crocker's classic recipes. I am an awful cook. If you need proof ask my ex, David. I offered to cook him dinner one night and when he got to my place i was literally BAKING a steak. It's commonly acknowledged that i have terrible taste in music. my friends hate when i DJ. here's the thing, secretly, i think that i have great taste in music. Anyways, if i had either of these record players, i would look like i really knew something about music, and then people would trust my taste in music. I had a meeting with Dror the other day. he is such an amazing designer, so innovative (not to mention handsome). Annnyways, when we sat down in his office he had a carafe of water. My memory is foggy, but i think it looked like a waterbottle made of glass. I'm probably wrong, but that is what attracted me to this. It's a glass waterbottle. it would be great for when guests come over, with some glass cups stacked beside it. I'd put it next to my bed at night so I dont have to go downstairs to the kitchen for a drink. I just think carafes are classy and cool, and this one has such a fun, simple design.

i dig skulls. I know it's weird and creepy but i am still into it. the love started after a trip to new orleans, where i learned about day of the dead art. for the most part, i appreciate sweetness and prettiness, but there is something about a skull that i find really beautiful. Also, when i decorate with skulls i feel a bit rebellious. this caught my eye because the pink kind of cancels out the creepiness of the skull...

i love snail mail. i wish i got more letters in the mail. emails are nice, but a handwritten letter or a pretty package sitting in my mail box makes me melt. the only handwritten letters i get are from angry viewers, which is not fun, but i still appreciate that they took the time to hand write a letter. Some of them even put stickers on them. I'd like to start sending people pretty letters with stamps and stickers, so this book would be a great gift...

if you know me, you know i love jonathan adler. i've only met him a few times, but he left quite the impression. he is hilarious, quirky and humble, needless to say absurdly talented. one time he was telling me how he loves to sit with his husband Simon Doonan and drink tea and watch american idol. Sooo, when i saw these amazing Jonathan Adler Cups and Saucers, i melted. I would love a set of these, each in different colors. Maybe then, i'll start drinking tea.
